Styled Senior Portrait Session: Melody’s Vision
Melody and her mom had a complete vision for her senior portraits, and it didn’t take me long to fall in love with the concept. Melody rows for Palm Beach Crew, and they practice out of Anchorage Park in Palm Beach Gardens. The park provided a perfect backdrop for every chapter of the senior story Melody wanted to convey.
She’s a senior with a variety of interests, and she wanted her senior session to reflect that. Anchorage Park boasts a sand volleyball court, the storage area where the crew equipment is kept and a gorgeous banyan tree that we used as both a backdrop and studio seating.
My favorite part of Melody’s session (and I think hers, too) happened when she dragged out her stack of books. Her really big stack of books. Y’all, I love a senior who reads. I really love a senior who hauls a big tote full of her favorite books to help craft her own senior story.
So I was super happy to plop straight out on the itchy grass to capture those images of Melody. I told her to pick her favorite book. She laughed at me (as though she could choose only one) but gamely worked her way through the stack, snatching them up one at a time to evaluate.
