Types of Portrait Sessions Available

When you click through my website, my ultimate hope is that you’ll end up on my Contact page. One of the questions on the contact form is “What kind of portrait session am I interested in?” So I thought I’d take a minute to break down for you exactly what types of portrait sessions are available to you.

1. Studio Portraits Only

On rare occasions, my clients will need a studio portrait, and only a studio portrait. Maybe you need a formal yearbook portrait, with a tuxedo (for guys) or the black velvet drape (for ladies). Perhaps you need to submit at headshot for a dance or theater application. No worries! I’ve got you covered.

2. Traditional Portrait Session

A traditional portrait session combines a brief studio portrait session with on-location outdoor portraits. The on-location portion of a traditional session includes a single location.

Custom Styled Senior Portrait Session

A custom styled senior portrait session includes a studio component, plus a detailed collaborative portrait creation event. A styled session is custom designed to expressly capture your unique story. Carefully crafted costumes, planned locations and artful poses combine to create story portraits that you will love for years to come.

Inspired Portrait Session

Inspired portraits are so much fun! I custom style a regular portrait session to carefully crafted to portray your unique story. But an inspired portrait session is prompted by a theme or character outside your own personal story. Some of my favorite inspired sessions were designed to emulate famous movies or TV shows. We can design a session that’s inspired by a season, or holiday. Even a specific color could prompt an inspired session. It’s a chance to play dress-up, and have some fun with imagination. These sessions are the most kind of fun!
