Zach’s Story (Football) Juno Beach Senior Portraits

Football.

Friday Night Lights. There is something about high school football that brings people together like no other group activity does. We wait all week for it. We memorize the chants the cheerleaders are yelling. We’ve learned which players wear what numbers, and we scream out loud for both good plays and bad. Jupiter football senior portraits are kind of a no-brainer for a kid who spent his whole high school career on the field.

Zach plays for the Jupiter Christian Eagles. He is a much-loved member of the team and when he comes off the field, players and fans alike acknowledge his presence with cries of “SIGGINS!”

Zach lives Eagles football.

So beginning his senior story with a trip to Jupiter Christian’s newly updated football field was the exact right play. Team means everything to Zach. He and his teammates are like brothers. They have fought to bring their team to the level of play that achieved a near-trip to the state championship. One game away – and they did it together.

Florida.

Zach wanted to remember his Florida high school days with a series of beach sunset portraits. And he brought along his guitar. I loved this touch – just a couple of years ago Zach’s brother Caleb and I shot his senior portraits at the same beach in the same spot, and Caleb brought along his guitar as well.

This is what makes a memory a story. It’s not just a location. It’s not just a musical instrument. It’s family. And years from now, the music Zach plays will evoke those memories in him, and in his brother, and in his mom and dad. The portraits we captured that day will freeze those memories in place for them.
